Ok, I currently have a K750 and M570 as my M&K setup but as much as I love my trackball I feel that it is holding me back somewhat whilst gaming (I still do bloody well in BFBC2 but I feel I could do better).

So I am looking to get a "regular" mouse for gaming and use my trackball (with its superior comfort) for everyday use.
Due to a lack of USB ports on my PC and my refusal to use those bloody USB hubs, it needs to run off the unifying reciever that my current setup uses.

With that in mind I have narrowed it down to these three:
So for gaming which would you choose? I would go for the PMX straight away were I not concerned about charging/charge times, if I have to have a charge cable plugged in I may aswell get a G700 instead, which is where the other two come into play, especially the M705. Also I use a claw grip if that makes any difference.

Ok, serious answer now, I think I would pick the M510, the others from reading the burb have a strange scroll wheel, that if its anything like a Microsoft smooth scroll wheel you will hate.

From what I understand its a regular ratchet but when you do a mahousive spin it becomes free scrolling then you click it to reengage the ratchet.

How about getting a new PC with more USB ports? you can then have the MX518:D

I'm not budging from ITX and like I said "neat und tidy" so no visible cables.

That would make me cry I feel, the smooth scroll on the Microsoft mouse I had before my G5 did my head in, using the scroll to select a different weapon during combat was the biggest pain in the butt ever.

I have the M510. Light, responsive, no discernible lag, battery lasts aages. Anything you want to know about it?

I could never go back to a wired mouse these days. Urgh.

I use this mouse on a day to day basis aand play the odd game with it. It's one of the best mice i've used - certainly a class above the MS mice that i've used in the past.

It's a little small if you have big hands but i've got used to that and even prefer it now.

Ah thanks...hmm I have fairly large hands. Maybe a local shop will have one to try.

Is it fairly broad? I like quite a wide mouse and the photos on the Logitech website make it look quite narrow.

Ideally something like a G9x would be nice...but wireless...and looking less ****.

Gah why cant the G700 use the unifying reciever?

I wouldn't say it's that broad, no. I can fit three of my fingers on the top but not four. I used to have an MX700 and seem to remember that being considerably wider.

I know what you mean - when i bought the M705 i had been using the MS equivalent of a brick with wireless capabilities. On reflection, it was a totally $*%# mouse but i liked the width as my hand rested comfortably on the whole mouse.

Because of this the M705 felt really small and light - i almost gave it away - but after a few weeks i adpted to the size and grew accustomed to the lightness and precise sensitivity. And as mentioned i know prefer it - it's a quality mouse for the money.

TBH, all the mice you have listed are good - you just need to get some hands on testing.
