mortgage saver account

Hello

i want to get a mortgage but my and the wife are rubbish when it comes to saving money

are there accounts where you can invest money but can't take it out until you reach your target

I don't know about reaching a level...but there are plenty of deposit accounts that need a period of notice before you can withdraw your money.

So say a 60 day notice savings account, that will stop you being able to withdraw the money on a whim.

Ye something like that would do. Because i would not think oh ill need some money in three months ill get onto the bank now.

Do all banks do these sort of accounts.

Dont have much dealings with banks as most of my money is cash being a gardener

Yea, pretty much. Just go into your own branch and ask (assuming you have a bank a/c atm)

You may even be able to set it up online.

Ye got a bank lol. Just only use it for bills and when i get paid by cheque or standing orders.

Never looked into saving accounts and what not.

But its time to get my life sorted out getting married next year and got a son who.s nearly three so next step is a mortgage
