I used the search function and couldn't find a thread on this. Has anyone been watching it? I think it's been pretty good so far, the cast are perfect and Delroy Lindo as usual is absolutely superb in my opinion, he's one of my favourite actors for sure and he plays the Alderman perfectly.

Also Jason Clarke and Matt Lauria's characters have been starting to build up a bit of a rapport now which has been interesting to watch and hopefully continues to build up until the end of the season. I mainly created this thread as apart from one with only a couple of replies I couldn't find a thread dedicated to it and just wondered what other people thought of the show. :)

It was a mediocre show that never had a chance due to the brutality of the networks in the US.

So the current season is both the first and the last? I was really enjoying it. :(

That's exactly why I didn't bother starting I thought it looked quite good and was looking forward to giving it a watch but didn't see the point once they cancelled it.

Whats it about? Is it worth watching if its ended?

In a sentence basically Chicago police has a new head and she wants to crack down on corruption within the force as well as cleaning up the streets, there's more to it though.

I wouldn't call it pointless, the first 5 episodes have been good in my opinion, I'm just a bit disappointed/annoyed that they're not getting a second season, it's better than half the junk that they show on TV. I wonder how many series' The Hills, or Jersey Shore or the other hundred and one "reality" shows on MTV that are exactly the same as each other.

I rather enjoyed it. Bit ridiculous at times in that Chicago seemingly only has one police station, and that the Superintendent has so much spare time that she can stick her nose into operational matters, and that the police and politicians are regularly at war with each other so publicly, but it's easy enough to look past that.

Good opening titles too, most shows I watch I end up skipping them but I always let them roll when watching this.

Forgive me, but that makes no sense really. Everything ends eventually, there's no reason not to watch something just because it's only a season long. It's still worth seeing. It's not like you're going to be any worse off by actually having watched it.

I quite like this show, light hearted, slightly humorous and lots of action. The bombing episode seemed very lazy though, and the latest episode didn't record, damn it.

Very true but normally I find the first series of US shows are more of a build up then it starts to heat up in the 2nd also I hate being left on a cliffhanger when the writers haven't been able to actually write an ending :p

I recorded a couple of episodes but didnt start watching them as i knew it had been axed but me and the misses didnt have anything to watch so started watching them and I am thoroughly enjoying it.
Managed to catch up to where it is in the UK now ...shame its been axed :(
