Hi-fi, ill bet that sounds pretty good when cranked up. I have a set of 2.1 speakers, but i rarely use them tbh. Prefer my headphones as well, (goldring ns 1000's). Great for surround sound in games and blu rays. Ps have you sorted your other issues yet Neil?
 
Yeh it sounds incredible, it feels as if i'm there however it's not good for midnight gaming living in a semi-detached bungalow lol

Going to give it a quick go now ;) and i've Got some new ethernet drivers, changed some internet settings e.t.c
 
Yeah, cant see the neighbors liking that lol. Good luck with the testing, thankfully got my own connection issues sorted. Unsecured network, some git using my connection to game on his xbox.
 
I actually heard someone planting C4 on my tank the other day. I've never heard that before! Heard the little placement bleeps, jumped straight out to some cheeky wookie trying to blow me up! Needles to say he got a Saiga to the face and I carried on merrily in my tank. I just have it running 2.1 with a seperate 360 headset + mic if I'm nattering to a friend.

Still can't knife for beans though. It has to be a stationary target looking elsewhere or I just cannot hit them for love nor money.
 
Unfortunately due to the closed cup design, my headphones arent ideal for use with a separate mic, find myself shouting a lot. Been messing around with in game aa settings, tried 32x aa, not much different on the snowy map i tried it on first. However on the jungle type maps, the difference is fantastic, not much of a performance hit either.

Why the fudge was your network unsecured in the first place?
 
The biggest problem is the subwoofer, thus i've had to disable it :(

It's like going from boom boom down to tap tap tap in terms of sound quality, damn thin crap walls lol

My brother changed the settings when he was here a few weeks ago, he couldnt get online on his laptop, so he logged in and disabled security. Have it sorted now, changed ssid and set up wpa psk.
 
Headsets are far better at hearing the little things, like someone creeping up on your to knife. Remember that other time you came to knife me on the uav and i heard you walking behind me lol

First time i just ignored the sound as i never thought someone would walk that distance :p

Ive also found that with headphones, you can discern sounds in game that you dont hear on speakers. On the oasis map, i heard dogs barking, (weirdly enough), with speakers i never noticed it before.

Hah since I've started playing Assault with a shotgun and C4, I've managed to get my games win/loss ratio from 0.7 to 1.0, and my k/d, destroyed from too much medic class, from 0.62 to 0.96 and rising (And when you're talking a defecit of a couple of thousand kills to make up, it's not bad going really).

lol maybe on a crap set up

you can hear just the same as headset.

relevance is price is what matters as me and edel used to laugh about a certain guy who had a set of headphones that cost twenty quid as if they were made by jesus :p forget your thousand quid amp and speakers set up 20 quid sennheisers are the future :D you can hear some one on the next map coming rofl .
