ID a horror film for me pls.

I'm trying to find out the name of a horror film I saw on the TV, I think it's from the 70s, I remember watching it late 70s.

What I can remember, there's a large sailing boat, everyone on it is dead, some people are trying to work out what happened. The ending I particularly remember, several people in a helicopter, one person in the helicopter is talking by radio to a person on the boat, he says to the guy in the helicopter that the description he gave of one of the dead people is wrong (hanging from the mast I think) the description he then gives is of one of the people in the helicotper, who then gives an evil grin.

I had nightmares over this film as a kid, would love to watch it again.

Just watched it, not as scary as I rememeber but still enjoyed it, interesting to see so many IMDB reviewers who were affected the same as me.

They never are as scary as you remember - my OH and I watched The Silver Streak (1976) the other night after her telling me how good it was as she saw it years ago! Think time has eroded the comedy element from that one as that was an hour and a half of my life I'll never get back
