Japspeed subaru Stolen 11/06/11

the owners also lost some stickers,

oh and a lot of common sense has also been removed, I heard there might have been a small crash which dented some pride as well

Why would the fuel lines and battery be disconnected?

They would have got in, turned the battery kill switch, turned on the fuel pumps and the ignition and pressed the start button.

pretty much that id expect.

there are people moaning on there about santapod... how should they be responsible? imagine leaving the next RWYB day and pod security checking everyones licence and V5 to make sure its the right car :D

Hilarious how they're all saying it was down to DRIFTWORKS, WELL DONEZ EVERYBUDY!!! when in actual fact, it was found nowhere near any of the sightings, but by the police.

I was gonna say, whilst it was nice to see the spirit of things, it seems like they had pretty much zero input into the actual finding of the car in Reading. I don't think I saw Reading mentioned once on that forum, they were either cruising up and down Wolf Lane or aimlessly driving around Milton Keynes :p

It was nice to see everyone trying to help out but ultimately it seems like the police cracked this one on their own.

You think the DW lot are bad? You want to see some of the comments under the YouTube video!

TBH that goes for the comments on pretty much any YT video, ever. Reading the comments on YT videos always leaves me in despair at the future of the human race :(

Because all people were saying on DW was go to Windsor/Wolf Lane and knock on people's doors and ask to search garages whilst carrying weapons.

Indeed. If they were passing on relevant information, they certainly weren't posting it on the forums as pretty much all of that info seemed to be guff. Nothing concrete was known since seeing it the day before, everything beyond that was hearsay and most of it seemingly wrong.

there would be a lot of info that was not on the board

why post it on the board if it meant the crooks find out they had been rumbled and then the car moving again...

would have been fun seeing that car in a chase though

Some of them burnt through £100 worth of petrol looking in these places though, that's going a bit far if really they knew it was somewhere else and were just not posting it so that the thieves didn't log onto driftworks and see it :p

I suspect what found the car was the police and discussions with witnesses and the owners, rather than the driftworks posters who were about to tool up and go and intimidate half a housing estate in a totally unrelated place.

id imagine a fair few coppers must have seen that car on the road, its about as inconspicuous as a bacon butty at a barmitzvah

almost as good as that thread years back where they found the skyline gtr in canada or something driven by the claw
