Picked up a Joplin seatpost on Saturday. Got the one with a remote lever and 3 inch of adjustment. Three rides old... Got it for £60 :D Aint managed to have a ride with it yet due to the bloody crap weather though

£60 is decent for that. 3 inches of travel is somewhat limiting though.

Crap weather? You big girls blouse! :p

I went for a ride yesterday, it rained from the moment I stepped outside and continued for the whole 4+ hours I was out, I didn't have a single waterproof layer on and loved every minute of it :D

That reminds me. I was trying a new camera angle/mount yesterday, but I'm not sure it worked too well. Opinions?

As much as In Flames is one of my favourite bands, melodic death metal doesn't quite go well with an XC route :p

Better suited in a video like this

camera angle was fun to watch though - you should sometime soon take all your footage and make one 2-3 minute video, with the best bits of them all, varying the cam angle.

Looking at a slightly used pair of hope m4 with tech levers for £150 and replacing my current magura louise carbon BAT's

Are they worth £150 without rotors would you say? ..Ive got a set of hope floating rotors so dont need rotors.

You're wrong, In Flames fits anything! :p

I had tons of footage until a hard drive died recently :/
Good idea though, if I have enough decent footage at the end of the year I'll do a 2011 compilation :p

The mount is to see the fork in action but to also see ahead, as I said I didn't feel it worked in that respect. Think I need to try it further up the top tube on a less wet and muddy day :)

Sounds alright for the pair, could always try and haggle some more off it :p

Whats your opinions on the M4's? i know they are a little on the heavy side but are they decent enough.

I bought my current maguras to replace juicy 5's and tbh found the juicy 5's a hell of a lot better...So looking for something else and these hopes caught my eye.

Odd request but any one got an empty can of Muc-off bike spray? Bought the 8in1 kit the other day and for some unknown reason the can of bike spray had no cap on it, so I cant use it. Tried looking online and emailed Muc-off but haven't heard anything back.

I'm searching round the house for something suitable but if any one had an empty can and could pull the top of it, that would be ace.

I had an M4 on the front of my old bike and I loved it! It was a massive step up from the Juicy that was on there before and I had a lot more confidence that it would actually stop me! Mine were only Juicy 3s though..

I got my new bike added to my house insurance properly today too, wasn't going to make the same mistake as the last one. Only cost me an extra £18 to have it insured for the full amount against theft while outside of my house too so figured I'd pay for that just in case! :)

Very good brakes, ignore anything "rottencow" may say he doesn't like them because they are not on the Dirt 100.

I hate the Hope M4's so much, I gave them away.
Horrid, powerless, modulation free tat.

Vanessa Crane likes them because they stop him... he also weighs 60 odd kilogram, a gust of wind will do the same. Weescott is obese, but the only reason his Hopes stop him, is because he's going so slow anyways, not pedalling would have sufficed.

'Decent enough'?

They're frigging awesome. Immense modulation and as much power as you could want, not to mention the primary reason I bought them - the rock solid feel of the levers, absolutely no wiggle, lovely machining and bling as you like (I also have Formula The Ones and would choose Hope Techs any day of the week). I weigh 14stone and they have been absolutely flawless for me in the 18 months or so I've owned them (riding at usual trail centres, Innerleithen downhill), I'm running a 203mm front and 180mm rear Hope floating rotors.
