to be honest i dont think we should have threads like this so early.

it used to be just before but now its getting earlier and earlier and half the thread is just nonsense .

if theres a beta it should start just before a beta or a month before game is released not nearly a yr before :p

I don't understand what harm an early official thread causes.
 
 
Me and my housemate were just chatting about this DLC thing that has been flying around and he made the very good point that this is almost certainly not DICE or EAs doing. If it was then why is the offer not avaliable on Origin? This is Game (and Gamestation who are owned by Game), trying to throw their weight around and get people to buy only from them. To do this they probably told EA that if they didnt get some exclusive deal that they wouldnt stock/seriously nerf sales of BF3 and/or other EA titles.

So if anything people should be boycotting Game and Gamestation NOT EA or DICE.
 
I miss the days of rogue spear when they used to give us DLC with new weapons and maps etc for free!

I know it wasnt just rogue spear, it was probably all games back then, but rogue spear is the game I remember the most.

I guess some day someone must have gone "I've got an idea! Why dont we sell DLC's instead of giving them away for free!!" that guy got a promotation and a fat paycheck and now a few years on this has become the norm! and we all have to suffer for it...someone should find where this guy lives and slap him over the face with a fish lol.

EDIT: As for these two extras, I'm not really fussed about the weapons, but I would like that kerkland map because I heard its a good map from the origonal BF1942 if I'm correct? So should be good fun to play an old map again with planes etc.

EDIT 2: I hope the planes feel amazing with joystick and I hope helicopters feel 10x better then the ones in BC2. I liked the way the planes and helicopters felt back in BF1942 and desert combat.

Why do gamers ALWAYS find something to moan about... and then, like sheeple, all bounce on board the bandwagon.

I'm pre-ordering, and I won't be signing any half-wit petition set up by someone who finds offence in a few freebies being given away with pre-orders.
 
Okay so lets say your the CEO of DICE and as any good business man you want to make the most amount of money on your game, so what is the flaws with BF2? A single out pay of £30 then people playing the game for 4 years solid without DICE making a penny without dlc. So thats why there is paid dlc.

No, I want to be able to talk about games all in one thread. Where everyone knows where it is instead of people creating thousands of small ones to discuss different points. It would be all disjointed.

It's fine as it is :)
