Anyone here game at 1920x1080?

I'm looking at getting the Dell Ultrasharp U2311H 23" as it's a bit cheaper than the u2410. However the bit worrying me is the 1080.

Do the majority of games support this resolution without having to do a load of ini or reg edits?

What's your opinion on this resolution compared to the traditional 24" res 1920x1200?

I play all my games at that resolution. They all seem to work perfectly fine for me.

I've never had a problem with recent or even older games.

I didn't even know that 1920 x 1200 was more standard.

I also use that exact monitor and everygame I've played supports it (got 198 steam games for reference)

It isn't these days, 1920x1080 is more commonly supported. 1920x1200 often is letterboxed.

I would say 1920x1080 is standard these days. Almost all LCD Monitors I see for sale are this resolution.

1080 is certainly more standard, must consider that most games start on the console (720p, or 1080p), movies are pretty much made for 1080p tvs (though that may change inthe future)
so yeh you will have zero problems.

I always thought that 1920x1080 was more widespread? I noticed when i bought my monitor a few years ago, (benq fp241w @1920x1200). 1920x1200 res seemed to only be available on the higher priced screens, dell 2407 being another example.

I thought 1920x1200 was weird all games I have run perfect at 1920x1080

Thats what i thought. GT5 on my ps3 is also letterboxxed on my monitor.
