A while a go my dad bought a tool box from snapon. paid quite a bit for it but he wants to fill it with snap on tools so its laying there empty. I know its a bit much for a fathers day gift but i can pick up a "snap on blue point 100pc kit " for £150 from a friend. Its unused and still has small sticky seals on the case.

is it worth that? i mean he did pay A LOT of money for that tool box and it only has sockets in it...still got at least 5 drawers to fill lol!!

i know snap on is expensive stuff but a 100pc kit unused must be worth a bob or 2. it has receipt and was bought in December.

You'd be my favourite Son if you bought me that, Get it bought he will cream.

Is it worth that though? whats the original price for that 100pc kit because i cant find a shop that sells it.

Depends what set it is, You got any pics or a Catalogue/parts number ?

iv seen it in person, i know whats inside the box as iv seen the list. dont have any part numbers or i just didnt see it.
set of spanners from 10 to 19mm, 24 pc 3/8" sockets ( 12 normal 12 deep) 12 pc drive sockets (1/4, normal and deep ) and that's all what i can remember off my head. There is a whole list of stuff on the cardboard on the box.

found someone selling same kit on ebay, they say it costs £400 +, take it £150 is a small price to pay.

Sounds cheap as chips to me mate, I've never been able to afford snap ons & go with Teng tools but for that price even I would buy the set.
My only worry earlier was it was for one of there 100pce service kits as they are about that new but from what you've listed I'd take his arm off.

the part number is 2100MBPGSSUK , seems they where on Christmas deal if you google around on Christmas for £140!! seems about right if im getting for £150 ?

It is a service set then, Offer him a hundred quid & your Dad will still be happy with it.

Go for it! those tools are amazing, i have a few spanners, they have a lifetime warranty if you break them they will replace it for you, providing you were using it in normal circumstances

Just be careful because some of the blue point stuff is not as strong as the standard snap on stuff hence why true snap on tools come with a lifetime warranty and the bluepoint dosen't

iirc when i spoke to a snap on rep last he said a lot of the blue point stuff is made in taiwan with limited warranty but true snap on is made in the USA with lifetime warranty.

If it's the 100pc general service set they retail for around 200-250 so paying 150 is a bit of a bargain. Blue point are more the apprentices tools which is why they are more cheaply made with limited warranties.

P:s make sure it's not a fake before you buy it because there are fake snap on sets out there believe it or not.

I am your real Dad send it to me in trust :)

U a good son, id crap a brick if my son bought me this.
