So assuming its an import, how do I get the V5 changed to the correct year or can't I? If Its imported in 2002, doesn't the V5 need changed from an insurance point of view?Sounds like an import to me, a lot of BMW's were imported around this time because of the exchange rates at the time!

That it was first registered in 2001, not that it was manufactured in 2001.
