Also can someone confirm that the PSU has enough cables for the GPU? not sure where to find that information
EDIT: Balls, beaten by seconds. Although I think a 5850 is the minimum card you should get nowadays for gaming unless he's planning on playing old games. Tough budget, one or two cores could possibly be unlocked on the CPU I specced bringing it up to or beyond the tri-cores perfomance but then there is no guarantees.
£20 over budget (excluding delivery) but gets you a tri-core (very minimum I'd say for gaming) and the Sapphire 5850. (We have this exact combo, CPU @3.5GHz with stock cooler and this graphics card and it happily maxes out BFBC2 at 1920x1080). The 5850 IMO is well worth the extra over the 5770.
