So Its my last few days at college, and then im off to Kavos for 2 weeks on monday the 20th june :D

Just wondering, who has been here before?
Anyone else going from June 20th to july 4th?
Whats the nightlife like? any places you recommend/avoid?

Cheers :D:D:D

Our swimming pool was so full of sun tan lotion that you didn't need to buy any.

We stayed in Roda on the north of the island. It was quiet and ok then, probably full of villas and tourists now.

Flip, slightly surprised at the above reactions! I went on holiday to Corfu about five years ago and we had a great time! Stayed away from Kavos but the island in general was very beautiful.

I went to Kavos with my friends for a week about two years ago - One week was definitely enough :p

It's a bit disgusting there to be honest, and I would never go there again :p

Honeymooned on Corfu in 1998 and have been back nearly every year at least once. We initially went to Achiravi (North end of the island) which was really quite and perfect for a honeymoon. It's grown now and has a good waterpark. Also been to Roda, Ipsos and have been to Sidari about 5 times. It can be a bit like England Abroad (esp. Sidari) but it's perfect for families. A holiday is what you make of it.
On the other side, I would never go to Kavos having seen the excesses on TV etc. Really not my scene.

I went to Kavos in 1998. I didn't think much of it. It was very cheap though when I went. Sometimes it really stinks due the drainage. Basically Kavos is a road about 1.5 miles long. On either side of the road is bars, nightclubs hotels and shops. I would never go again.

Going on 11th July, went last July too, it's fantastic, ignore everybody who says otherwise, if your hotel is liveable, you will love the holiday.

Where are you staying?

Been twice and going again at the end of August. It's awesome if you're young and enjoy going out and having a good time.

During the day there isn't much to do but you are usually sat on a sunbed trying to work out what happened the night before and why you suddenly have crabs.

I stayed at the freestyle village previously which is one of the best hotels out there rep wise, it's part of the 'Twenties' group now and can't remember what it's called but that's the one I'll be staying at again this year.

Im off for a weekend at the end of July so let me know what you think :D

Will do mate :D

Sounds idea :rolleyes::p:D

Boring during the day, take plenty to read, they only sell tack in the shops, nuts/heat ect..

Decent places to eat if your tastes are anything goes, the mexican and the chinese are decent.

Nightlife pretty much consists of drink as much as when you're done eating. The main problem with the place is that there's nowhere decent to have a quiet drink, there's one or two places, the best place being the face bar at the front end of the town, i spent most of my time in there day and night.

Only problem with that is, it's the end of the town that stinks of sewage

Tbh i couldn't wait to jump back on the plane... but hey if you're just going there to get stupid drunk, why not.

Id suggest there's probaly many better places you could be doing it though, corfu, certainly kavos... it's a craphole fullstop, id never go back.

its a dump. youll be bored by the end of the first week. crap booze, not a lot to do.

however the booze cruise was awesome and i highly recommend it.
