:eek::p

9speed is no different to 10speed in this respect - I agree the amount of horse ****.... just because it says 8-9 speed doesn't mean it wont work. although I am a bit of a Muppet to get the wrong ring in the first place. It's sitting in the post office now with a returns form with CRC. no harm done.

Only thing google shows up are chainrings at £99 - lol ive spoken to the lbs to see what they can find. Any other ideas chaps?

Then I don't understand why they market 9 & 10 separately if they are the same  and for example your crank says 2x10 and is a different ring size to my 9 speed Race Face crank so I am confused!

me too!

edit - I've just been told by a mate its 80/120 BCD and I have an email address for someone to make me a titanium one for £40
Sounds like an option at least.

As Supercow said. It's only a 0.1mm difference. Officially 9 and 10 speed chainrings are not compatable but in reality they both work together. It's the same as 10speed chains will work with 9 speed cassettes. Obviously like for like will work best, but the difference between 9 and 10 speed is minimal.

I think some of the new 2x10 chainrings have different shift ramps as part of the new fangled usable range and smooth shifting.

Who cares anyway, 1x10 is where it's at :D

Yeah I have just been looking through all the cranks on CRC and it seems this is specific to SRAM/Truvativ their 2x10 cranks are using a 120/80bcd and so have wider hole positions than the standard 104/64, and the compatible replacement rings don't seem to be on sale yet

Just back from 3 hours around Mugdock after work.... Knackered aint the word, my arse is hanging out me to be quite frank :o

Just to bring some balance back to the whole manufacturers using non standard sizes, check this gem out!

I like it:

IntensevCare:

In order to make a more robust frame, we have increased our seattube thickness, and keeping the ID 31.6, the OD has been increased, and we machine our own seatpost clamps custom to fit.

lmao sounds like a cover up due to a manufacturer defect. GO INTENSE / DOES JIG.

The Nomad 2 is available in carbon and ally, i went for a Lime Green in the end so had to wait ages if i went for red i would have had one the day i ordered it.
Pick it up tonight and start on the frame protection then build it on saturday.

Will put some pics up later. Just hope my steerer is long enough, its the only thing i forgot to check, be a good excuse for new forks though i suppose.

I prefer the spec of the new N'dee, although i dont have the money for either of them, just bought a new car as well so im a bit skint this month and next.
Steerer should be long enough i had a few spacers on my old frame so at worst might need a smaller stem.

Edit: Looks like the headtube length is 129mm opposed to my last frames 120mm so minus the spacers should be fine.
