I'm happy with these official 11.6s ,yet another boring install where nothing goes wrong for me lol...oh well can't went for next month's ;).

For the record I installed over the top like I normally do with official drivers, pretty safe if you do this in Vista or Win7.

From this thread.

I installed over top and rebooted.

I think Vista and Win7 are better(more robust) then WinXP with regards to installing over the top.

I have seen factory overclocked (same goes for overclocked video cards) cards cause issues with drivers,I wonder how many factory overclocked cards that are sold have caused issues.

I had one a few years back on Nvidia side that gave me driver headaches, you can't trust those factory overclocks.

I bet they don't test each card individually, as you need to when applying an oc.

They just set volts and clock freq the same on all cards.

Took me ages to find the problem back then on the factory OC card ,it would play some games fine and others would just freeze after awhile,I went through cpu, memory, drivers etc.. you name it lol.....oh well we learn through experience.

I had a factory OC HIS 3870 that was unstable at factory OC, had to down clock it by 25Mhz or 50Mhz depending on the game.

Not sure if its 11.6 or not, im running BC2 on 6870 CF, when using 11.5 it would randomly flicker to black screens then normal again but really fast, and now 11.6 would suddenly drop my fps to about 5 for ~10secs, anyone have any advice as to which version to use?

Sounds like a power issue.

The top right corner mouse bug is indeed finally fixed!

These worked fine for me, just install over the old 11.5s, then reset all settings to defaults. CCC should do this after install, but I don't think they want to mess with peoples settings. Problem is, between driver releases it can cause a raft of issues.

If you have problems, remove everything and try again before complaining, it may well fix it for you. Also try setting to defaults if you're installing over the top. I've always done that, never had issues.

Same here but,

No issues here installing over the top via CCC update, and I kept the overclock and graphics settings before installing these.

I updated and my Windows Experience Index went from 7.2 to 7.4
How good is the Windows Experience Index?

I think it's a waste of time. It's not a reliable indicator to compare system performance, mainly at the enthusiast level. It also creates the impression that a particular component is bottlenecking your system when it isn't necessarily true.

anybody getting dirt3 crash/freeze with these drivers ? , i did not have a single problem with 11.5 drivers and dirt3 . but with these the fps has increased but it crashes the game now , had it twice in the last 90 min and it is not temp related on my 6970 (afterburner fan profile) . i have to reboot my system with the reset switch :(
