Devil May Cry HD Collection will be released later this year, according to a report.

It will feature the first three Devil May Cry games released on PlayStation 2, according to a listing on XtraLife.es (via Siliconera).

Dated for November 30 in Europe, its release will coincide with the tenth anniversary of the series.

Previous collections by other publishers have featured high definition visuals, improved frame rates, Trophy support and stereoscopic 3D functionality.

Wasn't much into gaming during my PS2 days so I reckon I'll pick this up
 
Awesome news. Definitely one to get.

Loving these HD remakes, Personally i prefer these to have the Backward compatibility available :p But then I don't mind owning a PS2 still.
 
more HD re-releases ?! man they really have ran out of ideas :p

Not that I am complaing its nice to see fine games remastered but man...
 
I take it this would have to be PS3 only since the first 3 games were PlayStation exclusives? (Though DMC3 also had a pretty poor PC port)

How many more cash-in HD remakes could they make?

Even so, I'd probably pick this up anyway.

I'd leave my PS2 versions for the sole purpose of Game Xploder cheating and faffing about. :p

EDIT - At least Capcom can get in as much exposure for the older games as possible since the new Ninja Theory reboot looks really bad judging by the current gameplay footage released during E3. They really need to step it up and tieing it in with the upcoming DMC live-action movie doesn't do it wonders either.

DMC4 ran great on my pc, I wish this would get released for pc as well, as I only have an Xbox :/
 
I dont mind some of the HD remakes.....it does bring back some of the classics and what not but im starting to get sick of hearing about them.....why dont they just make a good new dmc?
 
Def buy for me played all three of them but never finished any of em except 4 which was no were near as good as 1/3. 2 was just okay for what of it i played
 
Why do people see these as cash ins? They're bringing fantastic games to a console that can't play them anymore. Its making up for lack of backwards compatiblity and its giving us better supported resolutions. God of war 1 and 2 hd. Is a fantastic release on ps3. Only hd release I find a let down is the tombraider release. But I for one would love to see most the great ps2 games released hd. They are very welcome, if done right.
 
glad they are releasing all the games and not excluding certain ones (like the silent hill collection and mgs)
 
Do these HD games get a big boost in quaility?

Devil May Cry 3 Special Edition got a PC release and was great to play. :)

Only played the GOW & Sly collections but both looked and played decent :) GOW HD also runs at 60fps which is perfect for this type of game.
