suggest a handheld video games console thing please....

wanting a relatively cheap handheld console to take on holiday with me for plane journeys etc
want to get the new psp/ngp when it is launched so not wanting to get a 3DS or anything just now

I see there is a megadrive one, like this http://www.stuff.tv/review/blaze-sega-megadrive-handheld

is it any good and are there any others like that ?

Just get a cheap DSi or a PSP with custom firmware on it

Do your self a favour and get a PSP with a hand full of cheap games, that mega drive handheld isn't to great it's all emulated and the sounds are abysmal.

I‘d get a DSi with some RPG‘s and some Mario games if you need one straight away

Yes. PSP3000 and get Tactics Ogre. This is what I did 5 months ago and I'm still delighted.
