want to buy a gift voucher from THE big online retailer that sells everything but originally famous for books!
if I buy the gift certificate in Pounds Sterling from their british site (.co.uk) will he be able to use it on their american (.com) site ?

Buy it on the American site using your credit card and it'll do the currency conversion for you.

ahh, done that now
didn't realise the american site was linked to the british one
sure i tried to buy something from the .com site before and had to set up another account
oh well, worked this time anyway
