Hey Guys,

I've been at LA fitness for about 2 years now and am moving away in a week thus need to cancel.

I don't ever remember seeing a contract but on the application form is does talk about signing up for 12months (naturally). I've looked across google and I can't find info about cancelling the membership after your contract has expired.

Do I need to give any notice or can I just cancel the direct debit and write them a letter informing them of me cancelling?

Before anyone says ring them, I most certainly can't trust what they say on the phone to be the absolute truth :P

Cheers

as with most contracts its probably going to be one months notice even when you are outside of your 12 month contract. I would send them a recorded letter and also email them just to cover your back. after 30 days cancel your dd.

Ring them and ask for a copy of the contract T&Cs for when you last signed up.
I agree you cant trust what they say on the phone, so actually seeing what you agreed to will be better :)

Just cancel the DD. Did it with Virgin who sent a few threatening letters, sent a few letters via some fish and chip solicitor firm and gave up in the end.

Loving the friends videos ^^

As for the membership you'll have to give 30 days notice but it won't be an issue if you tell them you're leaving and cancel the debit.
