What card? Advice please

Hi

Looking for advice on a fast graphics card please, board is sli/xfire but not going down that yet. Budget £400 give or take.

My 23" monitor highest res is 1920 x 1080 at 60Hz

System is P8P67 Pro running i7 at 4.5 ghz, 600w psu

First of all, what make and model is your PSU and what games do you play?

With a £400 budget, I would go with

SLI these:

My personal preference would be the 6950 xfire as the cooler on those are absolutely amazing and it has 2GB VRAM. On top of that, you get two free Dirt 3 games!

Just make sure your PSU can handle those as some of the cheapo brands don't do anywhere near the watts they say they do

gtx580 3gb if you save a little more , single card would be my choice

Do you think this psu would handle 2 cards or even a 580?

I have a 5470 in there just now

Been playing COD etc but its terrible on that card

I would go for X-frie of THESE and THIS

Or

xfire THESE and get THIS or the Silverstone ST1000-p

You don't NEED a new PSU, I would highly recommend it though

What I was thinking was get the GTX 580 that you suggested, in the future change my psu and sli another one when they are cheaper?

Do you think this psu would struggle?

At £400 you could xfire these.

Or if you want to go down the route of 1 GPU then a 580 would do the trick.

edit: just noticed 600w PSU - not sure whether that'd be able to handle the xfire option.
