Anyone been on one? Was it a good experience.

I love flying in FSX and would love to fly a 737. I've had a google round and there's a lot of places that offer this, but so many, i'm unsure of what is the best.

Has anyone on here been on one and do you recommend it?

I have flown the BAE Systems Concorde simulator from Heathrow to JFK and back. Crash landed.

Was awesome. Wasnt in full working mode with the hydraulics on, but it still felt like it was. It was the actual unit that pilots used to train on. Was amazing. Not sure what became of it after concorde was decommissioned.

737 = no

747 = hmmm

767 = am feeling happier

777 = COME AT ME BRO

This is my mood determined by airplane type and has, I realise, ablosutely nothing to do with your thread.

You need to speak to a fellow who goes by the name of Ringo747.

He did a day in the full motion BA 734 simulators down at Heathrow (I think it was Heathrow anyway) last year and posted quite a good review of his day.

Expensive stuff, but if you're into that kind of thing, well worth it :)

We have some pilots on here which I realise is not what the OP asked for. I remember getting given advice on why my worries about turbulence were (almost) stupid. There are also at least two ATC guys as well.

Just sayin'.

Done about 6 hours in a full Level D 737 sim and it is awesome but very expensive! I'd suggest going and doing some actual lessons in a C152 or something if you want a realy flight experience, im now 18 hours into my PPL and its quite simply awesome, hope to move on to my night, instrument ratings etc and then get my CPL.

Can we ... could you get a picture of this? Perhaps with him, I don't know I'm just ad libbing here, high fiving or maybe putting his thumbs up? This is like untapped internet gold.

I did a helicopter flight simulation at the Devon County Show. Wasn't bad, used real pit but wasn't "out of this world good"
