How much do you actually download ?

I genuinely have no idea. I would say I go through phases based around...well...my life and what I can fit in affects directly the time spend downloading and "being" online. I would say over the space of a year I would probably average under 50gb per month. One month might be a few hundred, another might be just readng forums and a couple of gig.

Around 300gb, although that's including 4 other people. So I guess it's 60gb per person per month? I use to download over 500gb a month alone few years back though...

60-75 GB, and that's from a lot of grooveshark, iplayer and tvcatchup, gaming streams, DLC and patches, and loads online gaming with voice chat.

If you work full time, have a life and aren't a dirty pirate I'm not sure how you can use over 200GB.

This.

Our usage last month was 29GB which is roughly a gig a day. General surfing, YouTube and Steam etc.

Why not just watch on bbc iplayer in hd directly?

BBC 'HD' content from their site is 3200kbps, hardly HD.

File size : 10.8 GiB
Duration : 2h 33mn
Overall bit rate : 10.1 Mbps

From newsgroup.

Plus the BBC only keep stuff on their site for a limited amount of time.

exactly - BBC One HD is pretty poor through Iplayer - i dont know why they even bother

I dont really dload that much anymore, in the past id had warning from my isp's for going over my limit. Im not happy with my current isp tho (BT) for capping my p2p during the day, like i said, its not like i dload much. During the hours of say 1pm to 12.30am id be lucky to get a dload speed of 10kbps. Whats the point in having a 100mb connection when you cant even use it to its full potential, suppose i cant moan when its free tho.
