Call Of Duty 2 online?

I installed CoD2 last night, worked online fine but the servers were overrun with hackers (this was 1.0, straight from disk). I though patching it might help so I installed the 1.3 patch (the latest I could find), and now I get an error that says my CD key is already in use. What's up with this? Is there any way to play online without hackers?

v1.0 of CoD2 doesn't have PB so that will be full of hackers, 1.3 is the latest patch and I have no idea about the CD key is already in use.

If you look for PB servers that are GV streamed you shouldn't see that many hackers tbh.

May need to manually update your PB installation (or its possible someones managed to keygen your COD2 serial - very unlikely but not impossible - or if its 2nd hand they are still using the key online)

I didn't see the 1.3 patch actually install PB on my computer, maybe that's the reason. Should I try downloading PB seperately?

Ah, COD2. I really want to go play it now.

1.0 was always full with hackers. Punkbuster is active on 1.3 so there will be less.
