if you were back in the olden days do you think you would be alive now?

I am just sat here thinking if i was in the 1800's now would i still be alive?, like there there was no police or anything and things were stolen from you all the time , do you think you would be alive , random question i know but it just makes me think how lucky we are now with a government and stuff..
 
lol you should read history books.

Illness would be the main killer with only 1 in 5 kids making it to their 5th birthday....

If I was born in the 1800s do I think I would be alive now? So do I think I would have lived for a minimum of 112 years? Errr....no.
 
What an odd question, why stealing and police. How does that kill you?
The baby death rate, lack of medicine, safety would all be much bigger killers.

I doubt it.

you're aware we had a government and a police force in the 1800's right?
 
I THINK he means would you have survived to your current age had you been born in the 1800s. And yes I would. If Da Vinci managed to make it to 67 when being born in the 1400s I could deffo have made it to 26 being born in the 1800s.

da vinci however was slightly more skiled than you.

and it was only a 20% chance you'd make it to 5 let alone 20 :p
 
It is an impossible question to answer objectively.

It would depend entirely into what class and status you were born and also a myriad of variables that you simply cannot account for.
