I thought timing belt and pump was 60k or 5 years? That's what it is on the A3.
I have a 19 reg SEAT Leon Cupra and I thought I would just check my oil after doing 6000 miles. The oil level was right at the bottom of the min level, which means I need to top it up. Having not checked the oil after getting the car brand new I can't say for certain if it has burned the oil. I know somebody else with a seat Ateca petrol experianced the same thing when his oil light came on. He also bought his car from new. What I am asking is it normal SEAT petrol cars to use oil like this after 5 months
Yes it's reasonably common to see 2.0TSI engines use a bit of oil, especially the newer ones that are being filled with 0W20 oil from the factory to squeeze through WLTP.I have a 19 reg SEAT Leon Cupra and I thought I would just check my oil after doing 6000 miles. I was checking my focus, and its belts need changing at 125k or 10 years. I do drive a 57 plate TCDi. its probably a chain, but might get mine done sooner.
