Ever been stung.....

Got stung on the lip by a bee years ago cycling home from a local swimming pool if i remember rightly, must be about 20 years ago now. Didnt hurt straight away, but when I got home my lip had swollen so that it looked like I had a golf ball on my mouth, and the stinger was still in. Once that was pulled out it hurt like hell and bled a hell of a lot.

Still have the scar today.

Among many occasions of being stung by Wasps, i've been stung just millimetres away from my eye by a wasp once... couldn't see out of it for almost two days
I hate wasps with a passion because they're so vindictive and spiteful.

Bees are okay, only ever been stung once by a bee. it did cause my hand to turn into a roast ham for about 36 hours though :(

I once swallowed a bee while riding my bike as a teen. It didn't even sting though!

Have had run ins with bees, wasps and in the Caribbean what they call a jackspaniard which can refer to a paper wasp or as in my case a spider wasp. All hurt like hell. The worst one was a sting from a Centipede over my eye.. was blind in the right eye for about a week due to the swelling.

I haven't ever had a bee incident, but I'm not a wasp fan.

The first time I was stung, it was because a wasp landed on my leg so I whacked it with a hardback book (I'd be about 7 at the time) which had the dual effect of killing the wasp but leaving it stuck to my thigh by its stinger.

I've also been stung whilst camping, after running through some waist deep grass and ploughing headlong into a nest suspended in the grass (it was about the size of a tennis ball) - only got stung once on my wrist.

Most alarming non-sting wasp event was the time I was using the toilet (and taking my time reading a mag as you do (no, not THAT type of mag)) only to flush and lift the seat to find a large wasp pulsing away mere millimeters away from where my love spuds would have been dangling. That wasp died promptly after being whacked with the mag.

bee - flew in motorbike helmet resulting in a right temple sting. about 2 weeks of the side of my face swollen and bruised.

wasps - so many stings from these insects from hell! worst incident was a 5 stinger from a destroyed nest. waiting behind a hedge cutter on my mtb and all a sudden i'm surrounded by the blighters arrgghhhh! sting sting sting sting!!! little grrr hate em!!!
usually get a wasp sting at around once a year.

horse fly. once on my leg it felt like 10 wasp stings all at once, redness area was about 20x that of a wasp and a slight sign of blood too, they must have really rubbish teeth or whatever it is they puncture you with. and even years later it often itches.

avoid horse flys. use deet.

To be honest i have lost the number of time i have been stung. But the memorable one was when a dead bee stung me on the tongue. I was taking freshly harvested warm honey. tbh i don't want to talk about it. It was horrible!!

38 years old & have never been stung.

Knowing my luck if i ever do get stung i'll have some sort of allergic reaction.

I've never been stung by a wasp, until last year.

I was stung while sleeping woke up to some slight pain in the arm and a buzzing sound at the side of me, looked at my arm found the sting stuck in, ended the wasp life quickly for waking me up as it was going to die anyroads for leaving it's backside in my arm.

The sting itself at first didn't really hurt, it was about 15 mins later that the pain really started to kick in.

Been stung loads of times, the one time that left me with a fear of them was bashing my head off a wasp nest at school. Took about 15 stings to the head and a further 20 everywhere else.

I can't stand bees and wasps now, then a couple of years ago whilst I was in the states I saw a Yellow Jacket Wasp that was about 3 or 4 inches long. That made me leg it as fast as possible.

Driving with my window down last year and i felt something in my hair. brushed my hand thruogh my hair and felt a pinch, didnt think much of it at the time.

2 minutes later it felt a little bit sore. i looked down and there was the stinger and a little drop of blood in the skin between my finger and thumb.

Been stung 3 or 4 times, 2 bees and 1 or 2 wasps I think.

Worst sting was a bee which I accidentally stood on with no shoes or socks on. Bee sting on the sole of your foot isn't pleasant. :(

Only been stung once when I was little. Jumped over a lavender bush with bare feet... You can guess the rest xD
