Ryan Dunn (From Jackass) has died :(

Somebody on Facebook just posted this....guess it'll be doing the rounds. I'm so confused now, but RIP Dunn.

Like hell would someone do that

Please thank your friend for confirming this for us, nobody was quite sure.

;)

I just noticed that many people seemed to be in two minds as to whether the "joke" news that was going around (see post above) was actually real. Some others amongst my own Facebook friends seemed to be thinking it was a stunt because TMZ had supposedly updated and said it was, shortly after initially reporting the accident.

Confirmed it for myself through the aforementioned friend, though.

I think Bam Margera's twitter page pretty much confirms it for anyone who thinks it may have been a stunt. I feel really bad for him, Brandon and Chris Raab as they'd all grown up together since they were kids.

Ebert is at a point in his life where he is comprehensively established as one of the best in his field, and so doesn't have to care too much about what he says.

I've gotta say, I don't disagree with what he said, even if the play on words does seem somewhat tasteless.

For my part, if I had to write a list of everyone I might ever suspect of drinking and driving, I might well be tempted to put people who have shown that they have a very lackadaisical attitude towards their own personal safety nearer the top of the list...

I think it's the timing of what he said rather than what he said that's the issue. The guy's only just died and his friends and family are in shock. It's just bloody mean to come out with that at this point.

Yea way too soon to be saying that kind of thing.
It still isn't confirmed he was drunk driving, although it does look like he may well of been, it could have been just one drink.

He's only saying what a whole load of people are thinking...

I take your point, though.

Seems like a complete non issue to me. There was nothing wrong with what he said.

You shouldn't let jackasses drink and drive...

So you'd be totally cool with that if it was your best friend or son that he was referring to, one day after his death? That's fine then, non-issue for Longbow. I must say you have a lot of emotional metlle if that's your genuine opinion.

So many people say 'well it's true, isn't it'. This completely misses the point, it's not always appropriate to say everything that's true. I bet you one million pounds you don't go around saying everything that's true at your place of work.

What difference does it make if he said it today, or next week?

He's not saying HAHA RYAN IS DEAD, he's saying you shouldn't let people drink and drive.

I think the worst thing about it is that so far there is only circumstantial evidence that he was drink-driving. Yes, all signs point to this but we still don't even know if it was him that was driving, let alone whether he was over the limit. That's the part that irks me rather than the timing of the comment.

Just a little shock value it gives exposure and thought
it might not make him Popular but if it means somebody gives the keys to someone else to drive then Criticism would be worth it
