Doesn't really effect me I am afraid, there not the only ones who haven't had a pay-rise in a while, however I guess they have their right to strike as much as BA and anyone else have I guess.

What is there to live for if we can't excercise the right to fight for something we deserve through living an all work and no play lifestyle most of the time in a modern economy that is taxed to the teeth and high cost of living.

I support any worker that has taken the time to organise into a collective so that they may fight to take greater control of thier working lives and stop being a tooth in the corporate cog.

I am a regular flyer on VA and i do support the strikes fully. VA crew are mostly awesome, i dont think i can say the same about BA.
I think it wont happen though, Branson will be reasoanable here and get his cheque book out.

The increase brand image/respectability of VA and the potential one-up on BA will be too hard to resist for a few £100,000s

obviously from what i understand they have already offered an increase greater than most airlines but staff want a bit more - im sure a compromise will be made pretty quickly.

I don't mind them striking. From what I understand BA keep striking because ages ago BA removed non-contractual benefits for those who did strike, which is no reason to strike.

No. I haven't had a pay rise for 3 years either, I'm grateful to have a job.

same here.

they wanna strike fair enough, long as their willing to pay out for all the hard earned cash that people have paid for their holidays only to get stuffed by them going on strike.

They should ban strikes, they have no place in the modern work place, just go and do something else for a living if you dont like the conditions in the job you have.

Whats that? there are not that many jobs paying £105k a year flying aeroplanes around you say?
Well shut up and get on with this one then.

10% over 3 years is good, even over 5 accounting for the freeze is not that bad

Many of my colleagues have not had a rise for 10 years and I have only had 2 in last 7 years

Absolutely unbeleivable - today is the last day of the Virgin Flight sale and I was literally going to spend this evening booking two flights into New York and out of Miami for October at the rather tidy price of £451.

Now this. No idea what to do now - anyone got more info on likely dates? :(

I think the dates it can start are between 28/6 and 26/7

They've been offered bread and want jam as well. In the current climate they know where to stick it.

i could live with the strike starting while I am out there though, few extra days at VA's expense :p
