Mum went to visit a friend and she just told me she was being followed by a person in another car. She went into the house with her friend and the guy parked behind her, he stayed in the car and on his mobile phone. But because the road you need a permit after a certain period her friend came out and moved the car.

The guy followed, mums friend parked the car up walked back and the guy again parked the car behind it again. When mum came out he was just slightly up the road but still on the phone. Mum and friend got in the car and drove off, the guy followed wherever she went the guy went. Thus she had to lose him somewhere and she did. She said to me the guy looked of Asian origin with a Badge around his neck, kinda like the ones when someone comes knocking on your door asking to fill out forms or some such. However here's the twist, her friend has been warned by ballifs many times and has had ballifs knocking on the door. Could a ballif have been following my mum thinking it wasn't her car and wanted to take it?. Sorry if my post doesn't make much sense, i'm shaking at the moment because my mum is in tears and nobody in her friends household came out and questioned him!

Why didn't she:

Confront him.

Call the police.

Call someone (you?).

Ask her friends to speak to the bloke.

Take down his numberplate.

etc etc

Get the registration number? Worth going to the local police station in the morning and giving them the details if she's scared.

Does sound likely to be Baliff/Debt collection related, but very very unlikely to be about to take the car - more likely they are hoping she will lead them to whoever owes the debt?

Ermm a woman confronting a guy in another car, yeh that's gonna happen?. Would you feel safe if your mum got out and confronted a stranger who was following her?

I agree

She did, how do you think i knew about it?. Not that i could get there in time it was miles away!.

I just said this

I agree

Sounds most likely!, if i was there though and this is no keyboard warrior stuff i would've asked him what does he want!

Well she could have confronted him with her friends there behind her or something.

I agree or atleast got the friends to confront, makes you wonder about the ballifs thing..

I can just imagine it now, I don't want to confront them incase it's the ballifs after me

She said he had an ID badge on him, he watched as they went into the house but when the car was moved by friend the guy later parked behind it. So why was the guy so interested in the car? or was he waiting for my mum to come out to the car...

Lots of speculation atm

bets thing if it happens agai nwould just be to drive to the police station and pull up out side.

then either honk or go in.

Your mum's friend was male. The guy following was a private detective gathering evidence of potential "goings on".

She should have led him down a back street and beat him up. Probably should have taken his punk-ass wallet for good measure too.

Report it to the police, and next time if she is being followed then drive to a police station, never home, just incase.
