Cheque through the post

Before I saw the pic I was thinking of those fake loan cheques banks send you as an example of what you could borrow :D

Does look very legit though from that pic, but yeah I personally wouldn't cash it for fear of reprisals :D

I got a card with a tenner in this morning, that was addressed to me but I can't fathom who sent it to me. It wasn't signed... Just said "congratulations" on it...

Isn't a tardy book for when you're late? You have to sign it or something. Can't figure out the relevance of that here. Unless it's your severance package ;).

Are you kidding?!

Why does this sort of stuff never happen to me?! :p

OP, who sent it? Come on, you can tell us that!

Na. It was odd when I found it on my hallway floor. I thought "Who's sending me a card?" It was my girlfriend's birthday last weekend so thought maybe someone had sent her a card to my house. And my Dad's getting married so thought it could have been a wedding invite. But no, addressed to me. "Alex, Congratulations!" and had a tenner in it.

To be fair, if the person who sent the cheque is with Coutts, then yes, £3.5K is pocket change.

who was it from? and strange that the writing doesnt match up?!

If you look at the E in Eddie & Edward they match, as do the 0's in 3'500 and the O's in book, similarly the S in Sum and the S in Someone. Same writing, just one is capitalised for effect.

I'd rather not say at the moment. Am going to try and get in touch with them though. Honesty is the best policy :)

Get in touch with the person who sent you it. Then go from there. And if it is addressed for you then congratulations on your £3.5k.

Right after a fair amount of googleing, it turns out my google-fu is weak. So i need your help guys. I am looking to get in touch with:
