Any BC2 amateur can tell you that half a clip is as good as an empty magazine since the reg at times can be so bad making you wonder 'is this the reason for rambo medics?'. :p
 
Back in the day (cod1/uo) hit marks were not around :p

hit maker is oen thing that annoys me.



when i pop on mounted machine guns (or use a medic spam gun) i shot fences/foliage till i get a mark then just blast away at the unseen enemy.


get rid of them I say.

Mostly european servers now days (checked a few months ago). Don't know about UO though as I never bothered with that. I wonder if any of the mods are still going?

I find it useful to know if I'm leading heli's enough when MGing them.
 
Hit markers are in I'm afraid :/

I wish they weren't tho, cause they kinda detract from the realism somewhat, but I think even if there was an option to turn them off I wouldn't due to being at a disadvantage from others.

Wish they could be turned off for single player tho :/
 
Besides all the arguments/discussion about commo roses, and hit markers etc, I have to say I am really looking forward to this game, the graphics look incredible (especially if - like me - you currently have a pc which is about 7 years old and can just about play things like HL2 and BF2, the leap to the graphics of BF3 will be extremely eye-opening and amazing.

I will be upgrading my pc shortly before this comes out, I've been planning an upgrade for a while but waiting for BF3 has delayed it a bit, so I can get the best I can afford nearer the time of release.

I am pleased to see that they will include suppression etc as I tend to play as a support gunner and to be able to be more of a useful member of a squad by being able to pin peopole down with constant suppressing fire would be great!!!
 
Snipers have been tempered by their need to now hold their breath to fire off a steady shot. It’s a welcome change, designed to counteract the sniper camping that’s blighted many an online shooter.

It's not a welcome change, it was fine in BF2 :(:(:(
