Hey chaps, i picked up a 2001 Honda S2000 last week.

Cracking car, paid £4700 for it - 98k miles, near immaculate condition and full Honda SH.

Gonna do a gearbox and diff flush next week and give it a nice little service myself just to top it all off :)

What an immensely fun car it is though, slower than most of the other JDM vehicles i've had but SO much fun!

Also my insurance is nice and cheap at £210 for 5000 miles limited!

Didn't realise good early examples were this cheap now :o

Well done on the insurance front! Might have to look into one of these in the future.

Nice and good price, I've read the suspension bushes are prone to seizing on these have you had it looked at?

I looked long and hard at S2000s at this end of the market and I will be literally amazed if this is completely rust free, doesn't have at least £1000 of suspension work pending and/or doesn't need a new hood.

If it checks out, you found that needle in the haystack! I decided I'd need to spend £8k+ to get one I'd be happy with and impulse-purchased an MX5...

Performance bargains these days if you can get insured

Any plans for it?

I found insurance to be entirely reasonable at 25 with 0 NCB (£900 IIRC). It is a bit of a lottery though, some people get absolutely stung.

I was 28 with 4 years NCB when shopping and it was over a grand, I decided I prefer hatches as an all rounder i'm not really a roadster person but would have at least tried one out if the insurance was a more reasonable figure
