When you say 'not a bank' do you actually mean not from a finance company? ie Are you ruling out Sainsbury / Tesco personal loans also? As if thats the case, where the heck do you think you're going to get a loan from?

Do you include a credit card within your 'no banks' rules? A 12 month 0% on purchases card would do you nicely.

Sorry I mean a finance company. But wouldn't mind it though.

I might try the bank then. Just wondering what other options are out there as well.

The money is for a car,holiday and a wedding. I really need to hit 3 birds with 1 stone, and there's nothing wrong with a bank. Will try a bank just need some alternatives.

Banks are your safest bet. If you are looking for money for those 3 things then chances are its not all you will need anyway tbh!

However Wonga only offers short term loans so the APR is virtually meaningless and the interest charged actually isn't as bad as the APR makes out.
