Just obtained a Evga gtx570 Superclocked card, what temps do you think it should top out at?

I idle around 38c and running black ops multiplayer hits 65c, i also ran 3d mark 11 benchmark and gpu hit 82c max.

Was thinking of setting a fan profile but dont know what settings would be right, so have left it alone, yes i am thick (knew what you were thinking) :D

Don't see no need for you to make a fan profile if your GPU is only reaching about 82c

I take it my temps are nothing to worry about then :)

Always worrying when something doesnt run the same as the last part lol, had a gtx260 and it only reached 70c on full load.

I assumed the gtx570 was cooler, and more power efficient than old cards.

more efficient yes, but cooler - it's mainly comparing it to it's competitor cards like the 6950/70 and the 470 :)

You only need to worry when it gets to around 90ish

I do this too.
I still get worried when a graphics card gets over 60ºC!

mind you you I still, barely, remember the old days when CPUs didn't need fans on them, a small heatsink would do the the job!

Haha i remember those days too, i need to have more faith in these new fangled things.

It is my first new card for 3 years, hope it lasts as well as the 260.

You should be hoping it break in about 12months time.

so it give you a good reason to upgrade ;)

If it does i bet it will go during a BF3 game, i wont be upgrading for a while though, just got the i5 2500k and new mobo, hdd, ect.. need about a couple of years to pay the credit card company back lol.
