I don't normally watch TV but...

Because they like to think they are much better than us normal folk.
They will then say 'Well I download stuff and watch it' without realising that they are basically still watching TV.
99% of my TV viewing is done with downloaded stuff but I still regard it as watching TV and I think I'm a much better educated person for watching TV.
53 and I feel I know nothing - thanks TV for helping me.

No, just hate the non on demand service, lack of things I want to watch, adverts, having to watch it when it is on rather than when I want or waiting actual years before the UK picks it up. Before you act smart, no I can't get sky here, or anything that allows automatic recording, storing, high res quality, or anything of the sort.

But you'll agree, downloaded stuff just makes everything simple but now you can discern the difference when people say they don't watch TV.

No I can't see the difference.
If people download the programme to watch (for example I am watching Falling Skies in VLC) I am still watching TV.
After that I will watch Through The Wormhole S02E03 on my PC monitor but I will still regard it as watching TV.

Can't believe that other bloke quit. All he did was **** his mate off and complain like a little bitch. The other guy is better of without him.

Fair play for carrying on without the bitch, but he wants his head testing.

Was it the more accomplished explorer or the guy who always lagged behind that quit? For me it started out as an interesting programme, but the constant arguing soon had me hitting the off button.

Around 15-20 mins in he quits. And yes it was the guy who lagged behind. Noob.

Not quite. I'm not a 'snob' but turning on a TV sometimes literally gives me a headache. It's like digging through an overflowing trash can in hope of finding a diamond. So while I don't watch TV at all, I still enjoy watching documentaries and the odd sports event, but I do so on either Youtube or downloading it. I class TV as being forced to watch whatever **** they dish up versus watching stuff I have an actual interest in without being bombarded by ads. There's a difference.

That's because people like 'drama', however melodramatic and fake. So in any reality TV show, you gotta have the highs and lows, the intrigue and euphoria otherwise it's boring. Expect close up camera shots of tears around a camp fire, silent reflection, uplifting music as he nears the end, etc. Don't think too much about it as it's about as deep or 'real' as the shallow end of a children's pool, just enjoy it for what it is.

Fair play, that guy is a machine. I guess exactly what army training is supposed to teach you.
One thing at the end struck a chord with me and that is about "if you start something, no matter how tough it gets.. see it through to the end" Sadly this is where I fail and why he is now in the book of great explorers and I shall remain a nobody. :D

Good couple of episodes I must admit, shame they couldn't extend it to more, but I suppose there is only so much one man can film
