Scotland has no automatic right to anything. That would be an issue to be solved at the negotiation table.
Don't forget Tony Blair is Scottish so the Scotts can have him back as well.
the debt you share with the rest of the UK , its already veen mentioned in the press scotlands share could be as much as 110billionDebt: what debt?
Armed forces: since Scotland has been at the forefront of the British army for centuries I see no reason for that to change
Currency: The pound sterling is Scottish, so England should change thier currency.
NS Oil and Gas: It's on the SNP agenda and IS being adressed.
The oil is piped onshore in Scotland. So we have a better claim to the taxes generated from the oil industry.
It would be down to the negotiating teams, no different from the negotiations which carved up the fields between the competing Nations before.
The Oil fields would no doubt be ceded to Scotland, however the more lucrative Gas fields are more contentious.
Nothing is quite as clear cut as the SNP would like to portray, which is why they baulk at the idea of having a dual stage referendum.
A dual stage referendum is pointless. Just another stalling tactic thought up by Westminster.

Scotland is not greater or lesser a part of the British Armed Forces than any other region.

and an independent scotland is more than likely just another grab at more power without actually wanting to be independent.
what do you pro independent scottish people expect to gain from beeing independent that you dont have now anyway and how much do you expect your country to benefit from independence?
the debt you share with the rest of the UK , its already veen mentioned in the press scotlands share could be as much as 110billion![]()
GBP is not scottish the scotish pound is pegged by the UK GDP at a fixed 1:1 rate dont expect that to continue if you leave the UK at which point your currency will probably lose value quickly until an independent scotland proves itself more capable than greece and portugal, there is no way your economy will just boom as soon as you leave the uk
NS oil will probably go wherever the shetland islands go who might not want to stay with scotland if you gain independance, either way scotland wouldnt get all of the north sea oil taxes
how come its called independence but you dont actually want to be independent? makes no sense to me
seriously most of the scottish people have unrealistic views of what independence will actually entail
We clearly have better schools so I suppose independence would give us more cash to invest in them. Then the sky's the limit.

You getting in the swing too?![]()
I don't think you can really say that both in terms of infrastructure.
Likewise the Union has no automatic right to anything. Territorial claims are highly unlikely in any event regardless of the legal authority at the time of negotiation.

Oh God no! I thought I'd just throw in more pointless, over the top, moronic, idiotic, provoking, inflammatory and trolling statements. It seems that is what this thread is for.

There is no precident in the world where a country has needed to referendum.
"Oh god no"
Law enforcement officer. I'd also recommend staying away from the public sector even if you could get in at present. Progression is limited.
