Insurance on iPhone / Macbook Pro.

Where's the best place to get these two items covered?

Macbook Pro ~ £1900
iPhone 4 ~ £600

I'd like to have them insured separately as I do lots of travelling with them both.

Contents insurance should cover both, you should also be able to extend the policy to cover them both when out of the house.

EDIT: I travel with MBP as well - it's still covered by the policy but I had to pay extra and have it as a named item, was still cheaper than a separate policy.

Why would you want to? You'll get raped on a separate policy, and unless you're insured by Plebs r Us then contents will cover them in and out of the house as they're portable items.

I'm also going abroad I take it the coverage from the home contents wouldn't cover them there?

I don't really have time (as I'm working all evening tonight and morning tomorrow and I'm leaving for the airport Sunday night) as my flight out is first thing Monday morning from London.

I've literally just sat down and thought about what I'm taking and I'm going to be taking the iPhone 4 / MacBook Pro + iPod + DSlite and just suddenly thought "What if?"

Meh. I was wondering if I could get cover really quickly for say the trip so I don't have to worry about it. Thanks for all the condescending replies though

In that case you need travel insurance, get a policy that will cover gadgets, read the small print etc:

No, as I have no idea where my parents keep the financial documents for things like this nor who they're with, seeing as they're unreachable for the next few days I "can't" contact them.

This does look pretty good but it's more of an annual coverage, I'll try Marks and Sparks travel insurance (they're baggage cover is for £2500 so that might have to do)
