Ok, very simply all you have to do is write a word that relates in some way to previous word.
For example, if the word before yours was Fish, then you could have Chips. The next person cannot then put a word that relates to fish, but it has to relate to chips. You cannot repeat a word otherwise it could just go fish, chips, fish, chips... and go on and on.
