Since whe did a protein shake fill someone up?
1 scoop is about 120kcal, that's less than most packets of crisps and less than 2 half decent biscuits.
That won't fill you up, if anything it will make you more hungry ime
Learn some science maybe? Calories have smeg all to do with feeling full up, protein and fat literally make you feel full up while carbs don't have much effect there, likewise, a glass of water can fill you up and stop you feeling hungry, how many calories are in that.
Protein shake = volume, water, protein, healthy.
Test it, go drink half a litre of water, do you feel less, or more full after doing so. Then thicken that water up by making it a protein shake instead, again, more, or less full.
You may have also noticed the title of the thread, healthy food you can eat lots of, 1 scoop of protein has 120cal's in it, whoop de doo, have more, have it in more water, have it with milk, put something else in it. Whats healthier, having 4 mars bars to "fill you up" or 4 protein shakes.
The difference also is, in how you eat, a protein shake won't crash your sugar levels an hour later leaving you feeling more hungry, 2-3 protein shakes throughout the day will stop you feeling as hungry in the first place.
Eat porridge for breakfast, a mars bar 3 hours later, and an hour after that for lunch you'll be on a sugar low and starving, replace the mars bar(with 3 times the calories) with a protein shake and an hour later, you won't feel hungry at all, let alone starving, therefore you'll want to eat less for lunch, be less likely to binge on something high carb, which will stop you feeling so hungry hours later as your sugar crashes again.
Hunger control is about eating right all day, not about the single snack you have to fill you up, although, again, a protein shake will fill you up FAR FAR more than a pack of crisps.
