No luck in mobile section so posting in GD, Where to buy genuine batterys for mobiles at a reasonabl

I did post in mobile subforum but no replies and it doesnt get much activity in there from past postings so if its ok with dons i'd like to post in here.

To the topic.

Mums Sony Ericsson mobile phone's battery is losing its charge and cuts off during calls, tested the battery in brothers phone and noticed his phone went off and never did before with it in. So now we need to get a new battery for her phone.

Had a google and saw some for a few quid at amazon but the comments say their not genuine and dont hold a charge which was a shame as nice and cheap. So.. Where can i get a BST-33 battery at a reasonable price that isnt like what orange or others are charging like £23+ for it. Ideally i would like to find a price of a tenner at most but that isnt the question.

So. What shops in a town or online would sell a battery, genuine but cheapish, and not the expensive ones like £20+. And where do you get ur batteries from?

Very hard to tell if genuine or fake, im guessing any under 10 quid are fake and not many after that price i could see and seeing the pics on the ads they look fake to me.

Rather get it from somewhere more legit.

Just had a look around. Seems that the real ones are all around £23.

I have used third party batteries in a Nokia before, they do work fine, but do lose their chagre a lot after a few months.

One for sale on HandTec for £10 delivered. Looks legit but you can never be sure.

Hmm bummer if that is the case. Because £25 ish batteries u might as well get a new phone as their not much more, tho not sure if any are sim/network locked these days.

Looked at that papa just now, if they cant get the right image for the battery advertised i don't think id risk getting it from em. lol. Thanks tho.

See if 'LEGIT' is written, if not, claim for false advertising?

Anyway, is it worth the hassle of claiming, both cost and time for a battery?

I bought a genuine nokia one off ebay last year. Well it had the genuine nokia hologram at least, was only about £8 i think. im not sure how easy it is to indentify a genuine battery. Does it have any holograms on at all?
