Haven't updated in a while from 10.4. Is there a better driver without single core usage/high 2d speeds released recently?

I was on 10.4 for some time as it was the only one which worked for BFBC2 game, anything newer than 10.5 meant huge map loading times so I didn't bother to update it.

I got a new system start of nov so I slapped in my 4870x2 and have been running 10.10, it was just fine.

2 days ago I updated to 10.12 which has one BOD so far, but it is stable in BFBC2, good map loading times.

Worth a try I think, make sure you clean the old driver out completly and reboot before installing the new version.

I update every month to the newest driver here m8 and i never have any problems with any of them...........i always just install over the top of old ones(whether this is a good idea or not i dont know but seems to work for me) i must say though i dont really like the design of the new 10.12s
even though i have them

Best for me have been 10.4, 10.11 and so far, 10.12 seems good as well. The drivers in between caused higher idle clocks, that was the only problem I encountered or have ever noticed with the drivers.

I found 10.4 to be the best though I am currently on 10.9. Current issues I get are:

ATI 2D downclock doesn't work at idle. (have to set a manual profile)
Massive gfx tears in BF2, GTA EFLC.

They do make my card run cooler though at idle.

All I can say is don't do 10.9. I might try 10.12 like arc@css has said

Im on the verge of reinstalling windows so thought i'd give them another go ... ive been using 11.6 but i really hate the new layout and this new 'AMD Vision thing takes a bloody age to load up!

10.4 even makes TF2 feel like it should, lately its been really stuttery. Think i may have to stick with these old drivers from now on :D
