hey guys, I was just wondering what graphics card manufacturers let you remove the cooler without affecting the warranty?

I know that EVGA let you but are there any others?

also is it possible to swap the cooler over without breaking the warranty sticker and if something went wrong with the card swap the cooler back?

EVGA is the only one :(
To take the stickers off, heat them with a hairdryer or similar and just glue them back on when you need to RMA.

According to scottib, MSI won't reject the RMA as long as it is in perfect physical condition.

ok thanks guys :) may just get a non reference card anyway and keep to air cooling (keeps cost down too :p )

That's for a waterblock backplate and a second rad (200mm) as a 360mm rad may not be able to cope with an overclocked 6950 and overclocked i3 540 (i will be upgrading it later in the year probably)

Is need at least £130 though so I'm torn

you could sell your 460 with block?

A back plate isn't necessary so you can live without it.

As for your upgrade, you could get something cheap off the MM. I sold an X6 which was practically new for £90

Thanks m8 I may not be able to buy something because of past experiences my dad probably won't let me :( but hopefully ill be able to sell some stuff :D

I'm intrigued - what sort of past experiences? Sorry for being nosy

I'd certainly be interested in a 460 for physx!

I bought a pump and it broke, so I sent it back and somehow it never arrived

I remember when my Dad said I had to go through him for everything back in my teens. i just persuaded him to give me a debit card of my own :D

Then I went and screwed everything up years later with laptops and a nigerian :(

Lesson learnt - the worst part was that everyone here, even the dons, took the **** :(

# There is no physical damage to the PCB, GPU/chipset or components that are caused by improper installation, damage during modification of any kind, damage during any type of aftermarket cooling installation, and or water damage of any kind.

The product MUST be returned to ZOTAC in the original factory configuration and condition. All aftermarket modifications must be reversed prior to sending in the product for repair or replacement.

Even for those of you who know how to push our Products to the limits, if anything goes wrong, we will service it free of charge providing all aftermarket modifications are reversed prior to sending in the product for repair or replacement.

I was unsure before that it applied to EU customers, but Zotac support said it did. Unless they have now changed it, but thats doubtful since they have increased the length to 5 years with registration
