So, i've just bought a new car.

I really like the look of the new Polo's good choice

I also love how people try and get involved with other peoples finances, its cringe worthy to read, its none of your business!!!!

OP posted the monthly payment, commenting he's scared as it's a lot of money. ;)

OP: Did you try any other cars around this money? How did they compare to the Polo?

The new Polo is win, I have the SE Spec :p 1.2 also, 60PS does grate after a while.

So that's why you deleted my post.

I guess I should have posted more about why it's fail spending £200 a month on a Polo. But I don't want to go into specifics incase that gets deleted aswell because one of the mods is a Polo fanboy ;)

I don't know what you posted, but as soon as I saw that it was NW that deleted your post in a thread about Polos, I suspected suspiciously below-par biased moderation was rearing its ugly head again.

Unless you posted something dire, which isn't exactly beyond the possible...

I guess only you will know!

Posts being deleted.........

I love the look of the Polo's best looking hatches on the current market at the price range.

But sorry, £200 a month on a Polo is past me. As long as you enjoy mind :)

To be fair I was quite abrupt but it's still rude to delete posts :p

Doesn't seem to bad if that includes the interest, etc. the basic price is ~10 grand for the AC model. Wouldn't pay more than 8K myself but not like anyone would sell me one at that price anyhow.

Seems like an okay deal to me.
Very little deposit, a monthly payment that the OP can obviously afford, and he gets worry free motoring for 3 years.

Folks on here cannot seem to get their heads around paying monthly for a car. You just have to look at it like a cost of living rather than examining the total cost 'if' you were to buy the car out right at the end.

I used to have a company car on a reasonable salary, and it cost about £300 per month in tax. In my current job, I get paid a lot more money but dont get a company car. So by paying £monthly, I dont have to worry about breakdowns & unexpected bills and I'm better off in my pocket than before. So who gives a damn.

Enjoy your car OP, dont let the financial wizards on here let you think they know better about your circumstances and finances than you do yourself.

Cheers.

Just lol.

Someone gets it.

Much better buy for someone like me... probably not so good for the op... it's interesting what you can get for the money... doubt I'll ever buy a new car unless I get really stinking rich... it just seems like you're throwing away money.

If it suits the op... good for him :)

EDIT: Plus, I just generally want that car... think it's epic... but need something more normal at the minute :(

I really like these, I was inches away from getting one of these for £99pcm when the scrappage scheme was on. The mileage limit of 10k was probably all that stopped me doing it on impulse.

Someone has to purchase these things so others can then take advantage. should have done a spec me thread before hand OP, might of come away with a much better purchase. I am glad you are happy with your car though, what alternatives did you look at?
