Is co-drydamol meant to make you high as a kite?

Hi guys, I screwed my back up yesterday (to the point where I couldn't move) and was taking paracetomol for it. However, it wasn't Gavin any effect. My mum had some co-drydamol in the cupboard from when she had back problems, and reccomended it to me. Back pain has mostly gone, but as per title I'm ridiculously high. Has anyone else had a similar experience, as it's a little worrying :confused:

unless you are sensitive to it then no, DHC (dihydrocodeine) only becomes 'recreational' in doses of 100mg+ Most tablets will have sometthing between 5-20mg in each along with paracetamol, i think they go up to 30mg DHC in each via prescription, so if they were previously used via prescription with your mum then you might be feeling a bit buzzed lol.

Yeah, if I take large doses it tends to send me a bit high.

if it's the higher prescription stuff rather than over the counter, yeah it'll probbaly have that effect.

10mg. I took two as per recommended dose.

Edit: and I have never felt as high as this. No doubt I'm enjoying it, but it's a little worrying. I had no idea how I'm coherent...

It is just very strong. I still have some from when I broke my toe. It occasionally comes out to deal with really bad hangovers as it works a treat.

I broke my ankle once snowboarding and was prescribed these HUGE Ibuprofen pills. Got a good buzz off them as well.

If effects certain people differently, only made me quite sleepy but I was on the strong stuff when in hospital.
It sends my sister high though!

In comparison I take 8x 15mg of codeine a day!

so 20mg of dihydrocodeine? That cant possible get you high lol, unless of course you are very sensitive to it. Anyway just enjoy it, it will go away in 2-3 hours.

I just looked at the booklet again...

It's 20mg per tablet. And they are meant to be taken on a full stomach. I haven't eaten all day.
