Fridays Euromillions - £136m!!!

I think if i won it i'd not tell anyone until i physically had the money in a bank/location that i could happily go out and spend it and then give everyone i know some really crazy awesome surprises.

As i'd still like to work i would definitely open a chain of lan centers throughout the UK though, i love computer gaming so i'd probably make one major tournament every year and pay for the best teams in the world at various games to come and compete.
 
Buy a house in every city in the UK, full season in Ibiza, give all my mates i'm living with at uni £20k to go mad with. Generally just spend it on having fun. I'd bank most of it and give a **** load to charity. Oh, and I'd help privately fund life saving research aswell as evolutionary biology research.
 
Being serious, how would it work if you sat it in a bank. You are only covered are you not for 85K of savings. So would it not be insane to leave it in a bank ?

I assume you'd instantly be setup one ofthese special rich peoples bank accounts with the special credit cards etc.
 
According to money supermarket, you would simply have to spread it about but with huge sums there isn’t enough accounts to accommodate full protection. It advises breaking it down into 4 or 5 banks so that if 1 goes under you still retain 4/5 of it.

Otherwise they advise

National Savings and Investments (NS&I)
All money in the state owned bank NS&I is fully backed up by the government, meaning money put in there is as near to 100% safe as you can get.

While technically it doesn't have any more protection than any other institution, ultimately the protection most banks have is that if they go bust the government will bail them out. Here it's government owned, so as it'd take the government going bust for it to be in trouble it's as safe as it gets (if the UK went bust we'd all have bigger problems!)

That jackpot win wouldnt even get you a yacht like roman abramovichs. 300mill, i must say what a nice piece of kit tho.

So I've earned 20k now? Nice :D

I'd probably go crazy with the whole jackpot. Id split it in half, one half to go to various charities. The other half for family as I don't really have many friends :(
