AMD will be selling a Black edition Llano which will be unlocked so you can overclock the settings individually and get a higher overclock rather than only being able to increase the fsb which overclocks everything.

If you find any more reviews please paste a link and i'll add them to this 1st post.

So CPU performance is like 5% better than Athlon II clock-for-clock (so probably around the same as a Phenom II). It only beats the i3-2300 at heavily multithreaded stuff like video encoding. IGP is fantastic, between 2 and 3 times as fast Intel's flagship HD 3000 right now. It can't come close to Quick Sync though!

Seems like a great budget choice for gamers, or just light gamers who also want to do some x264 video encoding...providing it's cheap enough!

Or everyone else, who just want a computer for Facebook, playing HD video without mucking about with video cards and drivers and occasional Sims...

Edit: Llano playing Crysis 2

Once the bios updates are out it looks as though you'll be able to get 25-40% overclock with 0-0.05V increase which makes it a pretty good bang for buck APU with no complex overclocking needed, just change the fsb from 100 to 125 or 130. Unfortunately some boards only allow 10% until ssd's stop working, some 25% then usb3 stops working, bios updates should hopefully fix these things or maybe chipset drivers.

Is that not amazing enough? :p Good all round CPU/GPU combo for the masses. Notebook versions should be interesting

Notebook version should be a big step forwards but this I'm not really seeing as a big thing. It's nothing you couldn't achieve with a cheap Athlon and low range graphics card, albeit neater and slightly cheaper perhaps. It's a shame they didn't push the CPU a bit further, it's pretty old tech with a GPU bolted on.

Still will have drivers surely?

Edit - clocks nicely though in that vid, be interesting to see what our results will be.

rather impressed personally, that plays Crysis II better than a lot of peoples PC with dedicated graphics cards and smoother than my 360 as well!

can see these being a big hit if they are priced well and undercut their rivals whilst offering better 'gaming' performance, would guess big success in the notebook world since they seem to destroy things like i3 in gaming benchmarks.

would be perfect for a mini ITX or really slim micro ATX setup where space is a serious premium, since those sorts of setups don't tend to have massive monitors and such with them for obvious reasons, could see Llano being great for that, combined with a decent medium sized monitor.

ideal for htpc? if a little overkill

the RRP something like this?

A6 = £89.99 inc VAT
A8 = 104.99 inc VAT

not too bad i guess when athlon x2 + hd 6450 comes to around £80.

As games are just console ports these days this is a good hit for AMD on the high street.

do ya think lower the TDP version (65w) will me more expensive than the 100w version like i3-2100 and i3-2100t?

and when are Ocuk gonna get these in stock? i saw the new mobo are up now!

for guys like us who want a super high end gaming rig that processor will be a waste of time because, by the looks of things, its not up to i5 2500k standards. however, the onboard graphics are very impressive, so this will be a godsend for everyone who wants to do some light gaming on the cheap, or have a really small HTPC that can do some decent gaming.

it will also be great if they can get that sort of performance in laptops too

Lucky it isn't for us guys then :) Llano isn't aimed at 2500k. For the people it's aimed at its better!
