When you make a new soldier do you still have all the weapons available to your highest rank soldier then? Using the UMP is a bit of a giveaway non? :p
 
Yea, each of your soldiers is totally separate. I have UMP45-SA because of the Specact kit. Haven't unlocked the normal one yet :D

Ahh that explains it. TBH it's taken me so long to level up out of the early stages of having no perks against hordes of people with every perk going, I'm going to enjoy it for a bit before demoting myself. Still got plenty of insignias to get too. Must get better with the knife. Still don't seem to get myself in many positions where I can stab people. Does the lightweight thing help at all?

Light weight helps massively both in terms of stabbing people and for just generally keeping you alive. The amount of times I've managed to run around corners with the lw and avoid death must have really annoyed the hell out of so many people online :)

Such a shame actually. I was just starting to get into it and really have some fun with the game (after a long arduous period of what felt like banging my head against a wall called magnum ammo) and the missus gets back from her month trip. And now I've got no time to play :(
