I have an Akasa Venom cpu cooler and wanted to know if I could replace the stock fans with something else, preferably with leds and no impact on performance or noise?
why would you want to , the fans on the venom are one of the best 120mm fans out there atm . good balance of air flow and noise tbh
Okay, I'll stick with them. Wasn't sure if there was an alternative with similar performance. Thanks
i used coolermaster sickleflow's, supposed to be very good, and i got red ones to go with my case.
i think the akasa venoms stock fan is slightly better, but im using 2 sickleflows (front and back) vs the one stock fan.
i put the akasa venom fan inside my vga duct in my case (coolermaster haf x).
I am also using a Venom cooler with 1 venom fan, what difference does the 2 fan setup have for temps, and what temps do you see on idle/load?
@op venom fan is a great fan should not really need to change it.
2500K @ stock
cores are 31-37 degrees C @ idle (today)
all cores @ 80% load (used winrar benchmark) are 47-52 degrees C
used coretemp for temperatures
sorry but i dont do any of this benchmarking or overclocking malarky, i dont need the power, i use my pc mainly for browsing the internet and watching downloaded movies and tv shows.
remember i am using 2 inferior fans (i bought them for show not cooling)
I was mainly asking to determine if adding a second fan would have much affect on temps, think i will leave mine as a single fan for now, the difference looks small when i compare my temps on a single fan to yours on 2 fan setup.
@OP sry for the slight hijack![]()
