Buffalo G54 flashing with dd.....

ive got a old buffalo g54 that im trying to flash with dd so i can use it as a wireless repeater.

I cant for the life of me flash it with all the methods mentioned on the net.

Anyone help me out?

Are you trying using the standard version of DD-WRT or the mini?
It is recommended that the first flash from the stock firmware to DD-WRT should be done using the mini version, once done you can then reflash to the standard.

i was using the standard version not the mini.

But i cant even get the tftp thing to start flashing

You need to be quick, reboot the router and the second it looks like it has settled down fire up the tftp program and try it again.

Once you have finally flashed in the mini version you will be able to reflash to the standard version using the upgrade firmware option in the DD-WRT control panel without having to jump through hoops.
