Decent coop/mp games for couples (360)

i got the same issue and find it's a massively under valued area game devs completed ignore.

i haven't played portal 2 but expect this to be great fun with my otherhalf.

one to try is splinter cell conviction as it's a really easy to play version that works great on 2 player. once you get the basics it's great fun woking together as we often found one would go in to kill but the other has their back just in case. only downside is once we got how to kill peopel and the fact it wasn't really a sneaking game but a shot then duck then shot game we ended up not co-operating but just going alone as such and getting annoyed when the other dies on the other side of the map.

borderlands is an awful game truly terrible, however in 2 player it's semi decent and worth a go. we played on 2 pc's so was great to have full control.

lego is good fun but helped if you're a fan of the film

gears of war don't bother they're crap both single player and co-op

not on 360 but games like c&c are good to play together or even star wars clone campaigns/aoe2 as they run on old hardware and again you get the full control of ths system each.

both lotr rotk is fun to play (though think it's a xbox1 game) and lotr witch king games are good.

maybe lotr online would be good too as it's now free to play and fantasy so a bit easier to get into for a girl

Thats your perception/opinion.
Gears 1/2 and Borderlands co-op were some of the best experiences of this generation.
 
Command & Conquer 3 can be pretty awesome, although it's best played on PC I found the 360 version to be more than playable. Awesome co-op game with friends. :)

got the game when it came out (gears 2) and played a few levels and found it boring and due to a request for co-op i'm playing it now with my nephew and it is not as good as 1 in anyway.

just as in solo its boring, but now that i've actually got further through the game, the inside the worm level has to be the worst level i've played in any game i can remember and dont get me started on shooting fruit to feed the big caterpillar so it can be used as a shield.......
 
I don't understand the appeal of Gears of War, it looks generic in almost every sense and there's something about that art style that I don't like either. The whole massively oversized armoured suits thing, it doesn't do it for me.

I know exactly what you mean but I'm waiting for a fan of the series to come in and say that all you do in any shooter is walk through the levels shooting and ducking. :p
 
I played portal 2 coop with my GF, it was the first 360 game she had ever played, I laughed at the end of each level as she took ages to line up with the chute that takes you to the next level, just over a couple of months later she's level 50 on black ops multiplayer and about to prestige and I can't get near the 360,

Be wary!
